Your new job
We are looking for an engaged and structured Project Manager for Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater. As a project manager, you will drive investment projects for the renewal and expansion of the municipality's water and wastewater facilities – primarily within the pipe network, but also within treatment plants and water works as needed (wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water).
You will become an important part of our work to ensure a sustainable and future-proof water and wastewater supply for the Municipality of Östersund. Our projects contribute to developing societal structures, improving the environment, and securing access to clean water for future generations.

In the role of project manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on water and wastewater projects from idea to finished facility. This means that you:
- Lead the project's economy, schedule, quality, and work environment.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.

- Work according to the municipality's guidelines, the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and current legislation.
- Contribute to the development of our processes and working methods within the water and wastewater operations.

- Work with the investment process and budget for planned and upcoming projects, as well as long-term planning.
Your qualifications
Requirements
- University education with a technical focus, preferably within water and wastewater, construction, environment, or equivalent experience.
- Category B driver's license.
Merits
- Experience in project management within the water and wastewater sector or other technical infrastructure.
- Experience from working with or knowledge of contract law, the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and standard contracts AB/ABT.
- Experience working within municipal operations.
We are looking for you
We are looking for you who are solution-oriented, responsible, and confident in the role of project manager within municipal water and wastewater operations. You thrive on coordinating many stakeholders and have a strong commitment to urban planning, sustainable development, and public benefit.
You work in a structured and independent manner with the ability to plan, prioritize, and drive projects forward in a politically guided organization. You have good economic awareness and handle the project's budget and resources in a responsible and cost-effective manner.
With good communication and collaboration skills, you build trusting relationships and contribute to effective cooperation in complex projects. You are flexible, goal- and result-oriented, and act professionally and steadily even in changing circumstances.
The position is partly security-classified. This means that before you are employed by the Municipality of Östersund, a security clearance and register check may be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
How the recruitment process works
Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We want you to attach your CV and cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent with the application. We ask you to complete these if an interview becomes relevant.
The Municipality of Östersund has considered the choice of advertising channels prior to advertising and therefore declines calls from recruitment agencies and advertising sales representatives.
